Capability

Power and performance along with unique styling

The PT Cruiser’s 2.4 litre four-cylinder DOHC 16 valve SMPI power plant offers up to 105 kW of power at 5,200 rpm and 214 Nm of torque at 4000 rpm. When matched to either the five speed manual or four speed automatic transmissions the PT Cruiser is a car that begs to be driven. This combination provides brisk acceleration and smooth highway cruising. The lateral stiffness engineered in the Watt's linkage rear suspension along with a rear stabiliser bar helps control side-to-side sway providing more precise handling. The PT Cruiser comes standard with four wheel disc brakes and ABS on both models. The ABS prevents wheel lockup resulting in shorter stopping distances and increased steering control in hard-braking situations.

Engine
Pick up the pace with PT Cruiser's 2.4L DOHC 16-valve four-cylinder engine generating 105 kW at 5200 rpm and 214 Nm of torque at 4000 rpm.
Transmission
The standard five-speed manual transmission and the available automatic with AutoStick® are geared for optimum performance with the 2.4L engine. AutoStick, available on Classic, Touring, and Limited models, allows you to enjoy the ease of automatic clutchless shifting, whenever you prefer.

Suspension
Standard four-wheel disc anti-lock brake system, with low-speed traction control, adds security in slippery conditions. Low-speed traction control, with four-wheel ABS, is automatically active up to about 56 km/h, and helps front driving wheels retain traction during acceleration.
